For amateur sports clubs a phased transition from old to new emblem has benefits, it is not usually essential to change everything overnight. A transition period of two seasons is often a feasible option.

The associated costs can be integrated within a sponsorship agreement or linked to a benefactor donation.

Kit suppliers are often prepared to cover the badging costs in lieu of the forthcoming kit sales.
